Black Zellige Tiles

Black zellige, made by hand

Carbon Black is our darkest glaze. The colour is close to solid, but each tile still has the small dips, pinholes and uneven edges of handmade zellige, so a black wall reflects light in soft patches instead of looking flat.

Black zellige works on fireplace surrounds, bar backsplashes, powder rooms and shower niches. With a light grout the pattern of the tiles stands out; with a dark grout the wall reads as one glossy surface.

The tiles above show every shape we make in these glazes: 4x4 and 2x2 squares, 3.5 inch hexagons and 2x6 bejmat, depending on the glaze.
