Choosing a white zellige

White is the zellige most people start with, and the one that shows the craft best. Every tile is pressed, glazed and cut by hand, so the surface ripples and the edges catch light differently from tile to tile. On a white wall that movement is all you see.

Pure White is a clean, glossy white that suits modern kitchens and bright bathrooms. Casablanca is a softer cream with a little warmth in it, which sits well next to wood, brass and natural stone.

The tiles above show every shape we make in these glazes: 4x4 and 2x2 squares, 3.5 inch hexagons and 2x6 bejmat, depending on the glaze.
